Probably the Most Fun Ever

One afternoon last week some 3,000 nutbags went out to Roosevelt Island on the East River.  They were told to wear white undershirts with bright primary color tees on top.  They were told to download a certain mp3 and not listen to it.  And then the fun started.

Pitchfork featured this song in its reviews, and they loved it, so I gave it a go.  I don’t know if I like it per se, but I do know it latched onto my brain like the baby alien in umm…”Alien”.  So sorry.

Mantastic Book Clubs

Why are more guys joining dude-only book clubs?

According to one dude quoted in this Boston Globe article, “I get to hang out with a few of my buddies whom I normally wouldn’t see. I get to have a few laughs and talk about everything. Plus it forces me to read a book a month, which is something I don’t know if I’d do.”

Not that bad of an idea.

5 THOUGHTS My friend Ben gave me a copy of Anthony Kiedis’ biography “Scar Tissue” because I had nothing to read by the pool.  It is 465 pages long.  I am somehow 303 pages in and still interested.  Who knew? I am drinking a “hibiscus breeze cooler”.  Besides “Zima”, has there ever been a less masculine-sounding beverage? I have decided that I don’t like writing on yellow paper. I have about 1.67% confidence that General Motors will emerge from bankruptcy modernized and streamlined. Remember Y2K?  That was freaking hilarious.  Really, think about how stupid that was and realize that it was 9.5 years ago.  Now admit to yourself that you were a little tiny bit scared at the time.  You were.  Admit it. *Michael
